What’s the Story? Education

Now in its second year, this new venture expands the All Write! concept to reach high school students, representing a wide range of abilities from all over the city. In a format similar to the adult literacy program, What’s The Story? features well-known actors reading an assortment of works chosen for the students. The students are invited to submit their own work, which is developed in their classrooms using curriculum materials provided by Symphony Space. Their teachers will have also participated in professional development workshops provided by the program. The students’ work is then read by the same actors at a second performance. A panel of high school English teachers serves as an advisory committee. All Write! and What’s The Story? are jointly produced by Symphony Space’s Literary and Education Departments.
