Find out how the CAP web site provides expanded resources for teaching and learning social studies.

Explore visiting and performance artists' work and background.

Asia is the world's largest continent, containing nearly three fifths of the world's population. The artistic traditions born in such a vast landscape are rich and varied, but they all share a common purpose: expression of the beliefs, passions, ideas and sensibilities of the people who formed them.

Reverence for nature, an overarching tradition emphasized in the mystic and meditative religions of China, India and Japan (the major cultures represented in the CAP in Asian Studies program) is articulated in all forms of art across the continent.
