Who? What? When? Where? How? Why?

In this section, you will find pictures and information about certain areas of African Studies related to the CAP program and to the activities your teacher will be working on with you. Your teacher will tell you to click on one of the following as part of a lesson.

• Image
• Research
• Art
• Instruments

Each one will take you to a list of websites that will give you information about Africa in words and pictures (note: “Image” is just a picture). In the Instruments section, you can sometimes listen to the sound of different African instruments, if your computer has the right software and speakers.

You may want to explore the sites listed just for your own interest. You will find lots of interesting facts, pictures, and sounds from Africa. You can also see a few examples of African art, dance and instruments in the African Studies Gallery below.

Every website we link to was visited by our team before we activated the link to make sure it's appropriate for children. But we do not monitor or control these sites and they can change. In addition, many of these sites may have links to other sites, which we have not reviewed.
