The 7th Annual Choreographers Showcase once again
features dynamic new work from exciting emerging choreographers. The Showcase
is hosted by the Post Concert Dance Company, the performing company of the C.W.
Post Campus of Long Island University. Each
year 5 choreographers are selected to make fresh and daring new work in a
variety of styles for this diverse company of dancers. This year’s choreographers are Karen
Arceneaux, founder and artistic director of GENESIS DANCE COMPANY, Felice
Lesser of FELICE LESSER DANCE THEATER, Aly Rose Director and Choreographer of
DANCE THEATER PRODUCTION PHOENIX, David Guggino formerly of MOMIX, and Makeda
Thomas formerly of Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE and URBAN BUSH WOMEN. Enjoy and
energetic evening of faced-paced and powerful new work for these exciting
dancers and guest artists.
