New York Youth Symphony’s Jazz Band Classic and guest Scott Wendholt on trumpet perform My Boy Bill: A Salute to the Eminent Arranger Bill Holman. The 16-member big-band plays the famous arrangements made popular by Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, and Doc Severinsen.

Portugal’s Ana Moura is an outstanding voice in the new generation of fado vocalists. Though only in her twenties, she transcends her youth with a maturity that speaks of the pain of separation, unrequited love and longing. Her recent CD, Acontece, was nominated for an Edison Award, the Dutch equivalent of the Grammy. Accompaniment on Portuguese guitar, acoustic guitar and bass.
