Darren Critz

Hi Piper, good to see you back in class.

It still freaks me out how drawn I am to the Captain Bogg and Salty video for “Pieces of Eight.” I haven’t withdrawn socially from my friends and family (yet), and I continue to make it in to work each day despite the time I could be spending at home watching the thing frame by frame, but I have rarely seen a music video that I have found so engrossing. All of this despite the fact that I normally despise anything pirate related. Anything. I haven’t spent this much time analyzing a video since trying to debunk the urban legend behind The Wizard of Oz on my parents crummy old VCR back in 1983.

Please watch the video yourself and let me know, has it changed your life the way it changed mine?!
